This beautiful 2,650 sq ft home is perfect for fishing, all day family fun, and watching the sunset over the bay. Bay Vista's unique position faces Galveston Bay at the opening of the canal to the bay giving it water frontage views and plenty of space for fishing, and swimming. There is a shaded deck off the main living space that extends out over the boat slip for relaxing in the sun. Please note the boat slip is available to use, but there is no access to the electronic lift. There is access to the private Terramar Beach Boat Launch as well as the community pool.
The shaded downstairs features an outside bar that connects to an extra room with a fridge, storage, and a half bath. Multiple wooden swings and lots of seating makes it great for those long days of kids playing in the yard and BBQing. The luxury of outside living is a plus at this one of a kind bay home.
PLEASE NOTE: Cargo lift is NOT available for guest use.
Bay Vista is pet-friendly with a maximum of 2 dogs allowed with a combined weight limit of 50 lbs. There is an additional $100 non-refundable fee per pet. Under no circumstances are puppies under one (1) year of age allowed on the premises.
Yard is fenced in from the road and neighbors, but not fenced on the water side.
Please Note: During the summer months this home has a 4 night minimum.
Ground level: Outside accessible bar; Half bath; Outside shower; Fenced in yard; No garage access for vehicles; Parking for 4 vehicles.
Main level: Large open living room with deck access and bay views, Dining and kitchen open with breakfast bar for extra seating; Wine bar; Hall closet with Washer & Dryer; Shared hall bathroom with shower/tub combo; Bedroom with a King bed; Master Suite with a King bed, TV, private bathroom with shower/tub combo. Large partially covered deck with seating.
Second level: Bedroom with 2 queen beds; Shared hall bathroom with shower/tub combo; Bedroom with 2 sets of pyramid bunks.
All TV's come with subscriptions to Netflix and FUBO for local channels and sports.
Location: 1 miles to the Beach; 18.5 miles to 61st Street; 21.4 miles to 25th and Strand; 17.5 miles to Moody Gardens and Schlitterbahn Waterpark.
This home will work great with Luna Mar.
Note: Although provided, WiFi access/Cable/Dish service can be unreliable here on the West End of Galveston Island. We apologize, but Gary Greene Vacation Rentals is unable to guarantee these amenities will be working during your stay and is unable to offer refunds for disruption of these services.

This was our 2nd time staying at Bay Vista and we absolutely love this home. It is well equipped for cooking; plenty of room for guest so you do not feel crowded; we loved just hanging out late nights and catching up on Netflix. Already looking forward to our next trip.

Our family really enjoyed staying at this home. A lovely view, good fishing, comfortable furniture in the living room and dining room The kitchen was excellent. Some of the beds were a little too firm for our liking, but it didn't take anything away from our great opinion of this home.

Beautiful home on a fantastic piece of property! Plenty of space and pictures didn’t do it justice. Rental/check-in/check-out was a breeze. Kitchen was very well stocked with QUALITY pots, pans, coffee maker etc etc. A/C will get plenty cold quickly. Downstairs bar area was excellent with separate frig and freezer and perfect view of the bay and little beach area across the canal. We will be coming back….I only hope it stays on the rental market!

This property was amazing, the house is beautiful and had everything we could have asked for to make our trip to Galveston perfect. Gary Greene vacation rentals was great to work with! I can’t say enough good things about this rental. Will definitely be looking to stay at this property again when in Galveston.

Had a great stay at Bay Vista. This is our second time to book this place as we liked the location and my family likes to fish. The dishwasher soap dispenser does not open though, so the soap was still solid after the cycle was done. Had to repeat the wash and placed the soap on the upper door rack, which worked. For this I gave it a 4 star. Otherwise, I'd still recommend this place. There was 14 of us. 4 families of my siblings. We had great bonding moments during our Thanksgiving week. My son caught a Gar fish and that was probably the highlight of the day as far as the kids go. We did release the Gar. Just hope that they would install more lights for night fishing.

Although we had a cold stay with white skies and rain, it was such a beautiful spot. The house is huge and very well laid out. The enclosed balcony, views and the large kitchen were highlights. My hubby caught a large trout the first night off the dock which fed us for a few nights! We also rented a kayak through Ricks beach rental and paid the extra for drop off and pick up. One of our favorite stays we’ve had in Galveston.

Loved the sunrise & sunsets. The fishing off the property was awesome. Plenty of room for people to maneuver around. We had a three year old & 6 month triplets along with 5 adults in our group. Will definitely book again. The only downside was no dumb waiter to help bring things up to the house level.

This house was really great for our family to enjoy a week on the west end of Galveston Island. The house is beautiful and well equipped and the location is excellent for enjoying all the activities of fishing, boating, kayaking, and crabbing. The beach is a 5 minute drive away. The management company was excellent. Communication with them was clear and prompt, the house was very clean when we arrived, and everything was in good working order. This is a house that we will rent again.

The property was better than advertised! I’ve rented quite a few canal houses in Galveston but this one is at the top! Plenty of room for everyone. Great fishing! Huge patio and just across the street from the beach.

We spent a long weekend at Bay Vista and could not have been happier. The views over the bay are beautiful and there was a great breeze. The furnishings are new and really comfortable and stylish. The house was clean, well stocked and organized, with helpful labels in the kitchen. We fished off the dock and enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding (rented the equipment). Also did wade fishing across the channel. The channel across from the home was a gathering point for many boats over the weekend, people anchored there and were partying in the afternoon; it was pretty noisy but we did not mind. Wonderful property - would definitely stay here again.

This was the best vacation house we've rented over the years. We come once or twice a year. The location for fishing, swimming, floating around, kayaking, relaxing and more fishing was incredible. Very private corner lot. The home was setup perfectly for our family! Thank you
