Have you been daydreaming of an island vacation? Well grab your flip flops and beach gear because this home is less than a minute from the beach!
This 1500 sq ft home has amazing views of the Gulf of Mexico. The over-sized covered deck is the perfect spot to watch the waves and enjoy the cool Gulf breeze. The large deck table and chairs provide a great area for family meal times. A section of the deck is open, so you can catch some sun or enjoy the early morning sunrise with your coffee.
Inside this home you'll love the open concept living room, kitchen and dining area. You'll never forget you're on vacation at the beach, even when cooking, because there is a port hole window above the stove that looks straight to the beach!
Daydream Believer features comfortable furnishings and coastal decor. There is a queen size futon in the living room and each bedroom has it's own TV. The fourth bedroom is located on the ground level and has a separate entrance from the main house.
Did we mention it's dog friendly? This home allows dogs with an additional $100 non-refundable fee per pet. There is a max of two (2) dogs allowed and combined weight limit of 50 lbs. Under no circumstances are puppies under one (1) year of age allowed on the premises.
Ground Level: Parking for 4 vehicles; Private Bedroom with separate entrance than the main house, Bedroom has a twin bed with a twin trundle with a half bath and TV; Outdoor shower with both Hot & Cold water; Picnic table; Wooden Swing.
Main Level: Open living room, Dining and Kitchen with breakfast bar and bar stools; TV; Bedroom with 2 Twins and TV; Bedroom with King, bathroom and TV; Bedroom with Queen and TV; Shared hallway bath.
Subdivision Amenities: The City of Jamaica Beach offers a seasonal public pool for a daily per person fee, playground and picnic pavilion area. There is also a public boat launch and convenience stores nearby.
Location: 1 minute walk to the Beach; 14.6 miles to 61st Street; 17.7 miles to 25th and Strand; 13.8 miles to Moody Gardens and Schlitterbahn Waterpark.
Note: This home has a 4 night minimum during the summer months.

Property was clean and comfortable and in a quiet area. Great view from the huge deck: perfect place to enjoy morning coffee and dinner/cocktails with an ocean view. Quick walk down the beach to the well-stocked grocery store. Wonderful place to enjoy the island of you want to get away from the busier seawall side.

The property was nice but I found that for a weekend checking in on Friday at 3 pm and having to be out by 10 on Sunday you really aren’t getting a full weekend stay. I realize there are needs for check-in and check-out but that really cuts into the weekend you get no Sunday time as you are pressed to pack up and get out. The property was as advertised but the additional bedroom downstairs was a sleeper sofa and very uncomfortable. We picked this property for the reason it had a downstairs bedroom as one of our guests is blind and unable to get up and down stairs easily. It was disappointing. Overall the upstairs was as expected and worked out well.

What a GREAT place! Lots of space, fabulous views, spacious deck, well appointed kitchen and easy beach access! My family said many times that “This is the BEST beach house!”. The only concern was the downstairs sleeper sofa…as mentioned in a July 2020 review, the head of the bed frame slips into a downward incline, making the bed awkward and uncomfortable for sleeping - if the bed was meant to accommodate TWO people, as indicated in the listing, it would be especially miserable! My brother ended up pulling the mattress off the frame onto the floor…not ideal. The broken sleeper sofa notwithstanding , overall, the house was excellent and we would definitely come back (and cross our fingers that the downstairs accommodations had been addressed)!!

Our family goes to Galveston every year. We usually stay on the west end in Pirates or Bermuda beach. This was our first year staying at Jamaica and we’ll definitely be booking here next year! The location of the house was perfect. We walked to the beach every morning and packed up our chairs and toys into a wagon every day. If you wanted to take your vehicle or golf cart on the beach that was available too. The best part of the house was the views from every angle. We enjoyed the breeze and shade on the deck and the porch swing on the first floor. Even from the kitchen window you can see the waves and your family on the beach. The neighborhood was easy to get to and filled with a good mix of locals and rental properties. All in all it was by far our favorite beach house yet!

The house was really nice. It was clean, cool, and very spacious. The deck was great to hang out. It was a quick minute walk to the beach. Neighborhood was quiet. Check in and out was easy, communcation was awesome. I would definitely recommend and stay again. A plus was they are pet friendly. Thank you for an awesome family vacation!
